Ethical Issues and Policies in Software Engineering

Abstract

In this paper, we present the results of a survey to determine the adoption of ethical principles and company policies among randomly selected software engineers from several software engineering related companies across the globe. Electronic surveys were sent to over 200 Engineers and 160 responses were gathered. The results were analyzed and it was observed that 70% do not know about the Code of Ethics that guides the profession.
