Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) is an active direct or indirect scene of a physical, real-world environment whose constituent are “augmented” by computer create or select real world sensorial input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is affiliated to a more general-purpose idea called computer-mediated reality, in which a perspective of reality is altered (possibly even lessened rather than augmented) by a computer. Breaking it down into two simple words –  augmented meaning raising or improvement and reality meaning the state of things as they really live, as opposing to an idealistic or notional idea of them. So, what Augmented Reality means an improvement to the current state of things as and how you realize them.
