The pandemic still poses a great threat to people all over the world belonging to different age groups Even after unprecedented measures taken by different countries including quarantine, social distancing etc., the pandemic seems far from over. The present study aims at the evaluation of plots based on number of reported positive COVID-19 cases, and number of recovered and death cases for different states of India. The study clearly recognizes the failure to contain the disease at a considerable rate due a number of possible reasons. The lack of medical facilities to cope up with the needs of large population in India can be one of the major reasons for the rate of infection doubling after a couple of days.
