Abstract

A WSN comprises spatially distributed autonomous devices using sensors to screen physical or environmental condition. Each node is able to perform sensing and processing the information. Routing protocol in WSN are application specific. Based on the network structure, energy aware routing protocol is used to improve energy efficiency and also to improve our network lifetime. In TEEN protocol, a hierarchical routing protocol based on clustering approach. In this protocol, if the threshold value is not reached, the node will not communicate to the user and the user will not get any data from the networks. Hence in this project, Variable Threshold Sensitive Energy Efficient Routing Protocol (VTEEN) is used to propose the user fixed threshold values, which depends on the environmental conditions with low cost and low power. In order to efficiently transmit the data from source to destination. This protocol is implemented using CASTALIA simulator.
