Abstract

In this proposal, a simple technique to check the adulteration of petrol in the vehicle's fuel tank is mentioned. Fuel tank is connected to the density module and the pH meter for comparing the parameters of the fuel filled in the tank. If the pH value drops or rises above the specific pH value of the fuel programmed on the controller, a red LED is switched on. As well as it should also satisfy the respective densities of petrol and diesel. The density of petrol is 0.77 kg/L and for diesel is 0.892 kg/L. Otherwise, a green LED is switched off. The pH value of petrol is mostly neutral, and diesel varies from 5.5 to 8.0. The main advantage of this technique includes restriction of leaded petrol and other adulterants with the purest form of petrol.
